“It was a great fight, and Emanuel Navarrete fought like a true Mexican warrior,” Dogboe said. “Champions are supposed to keep going under any circumstance, but I just couldn’t get the victory. The best man won tonight.”

He says it a lot that it paved the for he and his crew to spark the “#NEHOCHALLENGE” on social media, with fellow boxers and business insiders taking turns yelling out the phrase.

Sure, it’s branding to the tenth energy for the boxing champion with lineage to Ghanaian royalty, as Torgbui Sri III, ruler of the Anlo state within the Volta Area of Ghana, is his grandfather. However “Neho” can also be a lifestyle for the charismatic 24-year-old, who was born in Accra, Ghana, however, grew up within the UK.

We’ve achieved lots of initiatives along with water for rural Africa and he has traveled loads to see the place there are essential conditions that he wants to handle.”

Maybe Dogboe was modest to discuss himself, however, his uncle didn’t thoughts persevering with to talk on behalf of his nephew proudly.

“He may have had mansions. However, may you consider that he makes use of these monies to pay college charges for folks?” Dr. Agumenu stated. “Isaac, as any person who believes in training, feels that he can use his persona, his model fairness to have an effect on the lives of individuals. Isaac represents the hope that Africa is trying to find.”

And simply in case, the competitors look like they might get one up on Dogboe since he’s so entrenched in his humanitarian work, his uncle stated it might be clever to reassess that analysis.

“His arms are able to welcome whoever feels that they’re prepared,” Dr Agumenu added.

And that will not be for a heat embrace. You’ve been warned.

Police declares Baffour Gyan wanted for seizing Gifty Gyan and kids passports

The Ghana Police Service at East Legon has declared brother of Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan, Baffour Gyan wanted over his decision to seize the passport and other travel documents of wife of Asamoah Gyan and her children when he met them at the airport.

Lawyers for Mrs. Gyan filed an official complaint at the East Legon Police Station after Baffour Gyan failed to submit the documents which he seized from Mrs. Gyan when arrived in the country. The documents include her travel UK residence permit and that of her three children, their health insurance documents and passports.

According to the officials at the East Legon Police Station, all attempts to have him return the documents has proven futile as Baffour Gyan yesterday informed the Accra Court police after the preliminary hearing that thieves broke into his car to steal all the passports and other documents. Asked to bring the car for examination, he changed his story that he just couldn’t find all them including the children’s.

This forced her lawyers to lodge an official complaint as they say under the law, only a court of law can ground a citizen of Ghana for stated reason.

The East Legon Police say Baffour Gyan has failed to respond to calls to appear.

It has now been established that Baffour Gyan ‘lured’ Gifty Gyan to come to Ghana together with the kids even though they were supposed to be in school in the UK where their father wants them to be to get the best education.

But according to Baffour Gyan, their grandfather said he wanted to see them urgently for which reason he requested she comes down with them. He also said there were some issues to be solved at the Ghana UK high Commission for the kids.

The purpose, however, was that Baffour Gyan wanted to make her available to be served court documents of a divorce process she knew nothing about. It was Baffour Gyan who led the filing and assured the Court bailiff of when and where he could find her to serve her when she arrived.

Baffour Gyan also seized her passport and her kids’ passports and other documents under the pretext that his younger brother had asked him to take it to the UK High Commission to solve a problem.

After she was served the divorce papers to appear in court and she realized she was played, all her attempts to retrieve her passport and other documents have been unsuccessful. After Asamoah Gyan refused to pick numerous calls and texts she sent to ask him what was happening she hired her own lawyers.

GBA boss tips Isaac Dogboe to beat Navarrete

The president of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Mr Peter Zwennes, believes WBO world super bantamweight champion, Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe, will reign supreme over Mexico’s Emanuel Navarrete when the Ghanaian makes his second title defence at the Madison Square Gardens on December 8.

Mr Zwennes expressed confidence in Dogboe (20-0, 14 KOs) and stated that the 23-year-old undefeated champion would defend his WBO strap successfully and possible unify the division next year.

Dogboe, who said he expected to fight a top three rated opponent on December 8, got his wish when American promotions firm Top Rank confirmed WBO’s number two contender, Navarrete, as his challenger on October 17.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, the GBA boss noted that the nation’s sole world champion kept improving by the day and was hopeful Dogboe would defeat Navarrete, unify his division and possibly move up to a higher excellence in boxing.

“I am not bothered about anyone Isaac fights because I know his worth. What I can say is that he will continue to remain supreme and possibly go for his preferred unification.

“He has become a popular world champion and if you see the reception he received after his victory over Otake, I am hopeful that he will go past his opponent in order to defend his title successfully and possibly move up to the higher excellence in boxing,” he said.

Navarrete (25-1, 22 KOs) is considered one of the hardest punchers in the division with a 22 knockout victory in his 25 professional wins and will be hoping to make a statement for himself by beating Dogboe.

The 23-year-old Mexican pugilist will be entering the ring on December 8, having knocked out his last eight opponents in Dennis Contreras, Salvador Hernandez Sanchez, Luis Bedolla Orozco, Jhon Gemino, Danny Flores, Glenn Porras, Breilor Teran and Jose Sanmartin.

The fight with Dogboe would represent Navarrete’s maiden appearance at a world championship fight and the Mexican had expressed his desire to dethrone the 24-year-old Ghanaian to secure himself the world title in his first bid.

“This is the opportunity I was waiting for,” Navarrete said in an interview with ESPN. “I have a lot of respect for Isaac Dogboe but this title will be mine”.

“I feel very happy and motivated by this opportunity, even more because of fighting in New York City. I know that from December 8 forward, the name Emanuel Navarrete will be known all around the world. I’m sure this win will be mine,” he added.

Portugal 3-3 Spain: World Cup 2018

Cristiano Ronaldo made it clear that he means business at this World Cup after his stunning hat-trick secured a 3-3 draw here with Spain in a tournament classic and saw him reach another career landmark.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it clear that he means business at this World Cup after his stunning hat-trick secured a 3-3 draw here with Spain in a tournament classic and saw him reach another career landmark.

The Real Madrid superstar crashed in an 88th-minute free-kick to earn a point for the European champions in this Group B opener, after a second-half goal from Nacho had put the Spaniards 3-2 ahead.

Before that, Ronaldo had twice given his side the lead in the first half, only for Diego Costa to equalise each time for a Spanish side who peformed admirably on a steamy night on Russia’s Black Sea coast after a chaotic few days.

Fernando Hierro was making his debut on their bench, just two days after the sensational sacking of Julen Lopetegui, but Ronaldo stole the headlines.

After only three goals in total at the last three World Cups, he doubled his tournament tally in one night here, and has now scored at eight consecutive major tournaments going back to Euro 2004, when he was still a teenager.

He is just the fourth player to score at four World Cups, following in the footsteps of Pele and German duo Uwe Seeler and Miroslav Klose.

“It’s a nice personal record to have, one more in my career,” said Ronaldo, before adding: “For me the most important thing is to emphasise what the team did against one of the favourites to win this World Cup.”

His hat-trick came just hours after legal sources in Spain said Ronaldo had agreed to pay the Spanish taxman 18.8 million euros ($20 million) to settle a tax fraud claim.

But Ronaldo was clearly not distracted by that, and his team-mate Bernardo Silva admitted after the game that “when he plays like that, everything is possible.”

Ronaldo had put Portugal ahead from a fourth-minute penalty after going down in the box under a foul from his Real club colleague Nacho, playing at right-back with Dani Carvajal not fit.

Hierro ‘proud’
Hierro, who cut an animated figure as he stood on the touchline with his sleeves rolled up, must have wondered at that point what he had let himself in for. Yet Spain responded superbly.

“We have to be very proud of the boys. To lift ourselves in adversity and turn the match around, we showed character, pride,” said Hierro, himself a former Spain star but someone with limited coaching experience.

“This is a mature team. They have been playing together a long time and it is a pleasure to have these players.”

The 2010 World Cup winners drew level for the first time in the 24th minute via a trademark piece of centre-forward play by Costa, who left Pepe on the floor as the pair challenged for a high ball, before breaking into the box and planting a low shot into the bottom corner.

Portugal appealed in vain for a foul on Pepe, but there was no intervention from the Video Assistant Referee.

The European champions went back in front just before the break in what was a horrible moment for Spain goalkeeper David De Gea, who made a complete hash of dealing with Ronaldo’s shot from 20 yards that was well struck but straight at him.

But Spain regrouped at the interval and drew level 10 minutes into the second half with a textbook set-piece counter, Sergio Busquets heading a free-kick back across goal for Costa to turn it in.

Three minutes after that, Nacho’s glorious effort from 22 yards made it 3-2, his half-volley curling into the net off the left-hand post.

That looked to be that, before Ronaldo intervened to have the last word, and Morocco — beaten 1-0 by Iran earlier on Friday — will not look forward to facing him in their next game.

“When you come up against a player like Cristiano these things can happen. Whoever has him on their side is lucky,” added Hierro.
