Kofi Adams said Ghana is not yet fully prepared for the upcoming FIFA World Cup but assured that the country is putting in place the necessary structures to ensure readiness.

Speaking in an interview with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV’s The Point of View on Monday, March 30, Mr. Adams responded candidly to questions regarding Ghana’s preparedness both on and off the pitch.

“I can’t say we are 100% ready, but we have set systems in place that we will be ready when we have to be ready,” he stated. He added that government has already committed financial resources in the 2026 national budget to support the team.

The minister emphasized that World Cup preparation extends beyond the performance of the Black Stars, highlighting the need for broader national planning and strategic initiatives to maximize the opportunity presented by the global tournament.
