A nationwide survey conducted by Global InfoAnalytics shows that a majority of voters support several major proposals contained in the Constitutional Review Commission’s report released earlier this month.

According to the poll, extending the presidential term from four to five years enjoys significant public backing. Fifty-seven percent of respondents said they support the proposal, while 36 percent expressed opposition. Seven percent of those surveyed said they were undecided.

The survey also indicates strong approval for separating parliamentary and ministerial responsibilities. Fifty-eight percent of voters favour a ban on members of parliament serving simultaneously as ministers. Thirty-two percent oppose the proposal, while 10 percent said they have no clear position.

Support was similarly recorded for lowering the minimum age required to contest the presidency. The findings show that 55 percent of respondents support reducing the age limit, compared with 35 percent who are against it. Ten percent said they had not formed an opinion.

Global InfoAnalytics conducted the survey between December 1 and December 21, 2025. The poll sampled 13,495 registered voters nationwide using a mix of online questionnaires, telephone interviews, and face-to-face interviews.
