Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has pledged to accept the outcome of the party’s upcoming presidential primary, expressing strong confidence in the integrity and work of the party’s Elections Committee.

Speaking on Asempa 94.7 FM, Dr. Acheampong said the processes leading to the election have been transparent and credible, giving him no reason to doubt the fairness of the exercise.

“The process has been very fair so far. I have absolute trust in the process and the Elections Committee,” he stated.

He commended the committee for what he described as diligent preparation to ensure a smooth election, noting that all aspirants are fully represented throughout the process.

“The Elections Committee has done very well so far. All the candidates have their representatives there, and they are working diligently to make this election free and fair,” he said.

Dr. Acheampong further revealed that after the party’s internal processes are completed, the Electoral Commission will take over to continue the exercise, with arrangements already underway to ensure adequate security.

“They are even making preparations for the provision of the security services,” he added.

According to the aspirant, the extensive safeguards being put in place have significantly reduced any possibility of electoral manipulation.

“Considering the work they are doing, there will not be any space for rigging. We will all be vigilant, and also, the room people might have had to rig the election has narrowed,” he explained.

Dr. Acheampong said he does not anticipate any challenges with the conduct of the election and disclosed that he has formally committed himself to respecting the outcome.

“I have signed a document stating that because I trust the Elections Committee, I will accept the results they release at the end of the election,” he said. “And whoever is elected, I will support that person.”
