President John Dramani Mahama marked his 67th birthday on Saturday with a compassionate gesture, visiting children receiving treatment at the LEKMA Hospital and the Maamobi Polyclinic in Accra. Joined by his wife and children, the President spent time interacting with young patients and their families, offering words of encouragement and presenting gifts, including essential items and cash donations.

President Mahama also commended the healthcare workers on duty, acknowledging their commitment and providing monetary support as a token of appreciation for their service. His visit brought visible joy to the wards, with many parents expressing gratitude for his decision to share his special day with their children.

During the stop at LEKMA Hospital, he initiated the referral of a young girl to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) for further treatment. Staff at both facilities applauded the President’s thoughtful gesture and thanked him for recognising their work.
