The Ghana Embassy in Doha has urged Ghanaians affected by the closure of airspace and the suspension of regular commercial flights in Qatar to urgently submit their travel details to the mission to help facilitate their departure.

In a notice issued on March 12, 2026, the Embassy said the directive follows instructions from host authorities after flight operations were disrupted in the country.

According to the statement, affected Ghanaians who hold valid tickets with Qatar Airways and are either in transit in Doha or residents awaiting departure are required to provide their details to the Embassy.

The mission requested that affected travellers submit their names, biodata pages of their passports and copies of their tickets via email to doha@mfa.gov.gh
.

“The Embassy of Ghana wishes to inform Ghanaians impacted by the closure of the airspace and suspension of regular commercial flights operations in Qatar that the host authorities have directed that Ghanaians with valid Qatar Airways tickets either in transit in Doha or residents awaiting their departures from Doha are kindly requested to furnish the Embassy with their names, biodata pages of their passports as well as copies of their tickets… to facilitate their departures from Doha to their respective destinations,” the notice stated.

The Embassy explained that the information will enable it to coordinate with relevant authorities to assist affected Ghanaian travellers in leaving Doha once the necessary arrangements are made.
