According to reports, the suspect allegedly invited some of the women to his apartment after initial encounters. It is claimed that he recorded conversations and private moments using Meta smart glasses without the women’s consent.

The footage was allegedly uploaded to online platforms for profit, sparking widespread outrage and raising concerns about digital privacy, consent, and the misuse of wearable technology.

Legal experts note that under Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority Act, recording and disseminating intimate content without consent is punishable by law. The incident has reignited national discussions about online exploitation, technology abuse, and the need for stronger digital awareness.

As investigations continue, government officials have reiterated their commitment to pursuing justice and strengthening protections against cyber-enabled sexual exploitation.
