A symbolic moment unfolded at the New Patriotic Party’s headquarters on Wednesday when the party’s 2024 presidential ticket—Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo)—stepped forward to purchase the first copies of the party’s newly amended constitution. Their GH¢50,000 contributions for each copy drew applause from the packed audience of executives, faithful supporters, and invited guests.

The launch was described by party leaders as a milestone signalling the beginning of “a new chapter” in the NPP’s evolution. The revised constitution, they noted, is designed to sharpen internal coordination and expand participation in decision-making across its various organs.

Leadership urged all supporters and members to acquaint themselves with the updated provisions, emphasising that the document will guide the party’s strategic and developmental direction moving forward.
