The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed its members across the country to participate in the nationwide General Cleaning Exercise scheduled for Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The directive, issued by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, forms part of the NPP’s efforts to promote environmental sanitation, civic responsibility and national development.

In a statement released on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Mr. Kodua Frimpong called on all members of the party to actively take part in the exercise, which was declared by the President as a national sanitation initiative.

“The leadership of the New Patriotic Party directs all members of the party to actively participate in the nationwide General Cleaning Exercise declared by the President,” the statement said.

The party explained that the exercise is aimed at encouraging citizens to contribute to maintaining clean communities and supporting efforts to improve environmental hygiene across the country.

The NPP also noted that its Constituency Elections are scheduled for Saturday, July 11, but urged members to participate in the clean-up exercise after casting their ballots.

According to the party, voting for the constituency elections will be conducted on a walk-in basis, giving members the opportunity to take part in both the internal elections and the sanitation exercise.

The NPP urged its members to demonstrate commitment to national development by supporting initiatives that promote cleaner and healthier communities.
