The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rolled out a countrywide membership registration exercise as part of efforts to broaden its support base and reinforce its grassroots structures.
The initiative was announced by the party’s Acting Director of Elections and Information Technology, Mahdi Jibril, through a social media statement. He disclosed that the exercise begins today, February 10, and is scheduled to end on March 30, 2026.
Mr Jibril explained that the registration will be conducted in all NDC branches across the country, with branch-level supervision put in place to guarantee transparency and orderliness throughout the process.
Under the arrangement, branch secretaries will oversee registration at approved branch meeting venues. The exercise is open to new applicants seeking to join the party, as well as existing members who wish to update their personal records.
Calling on party supporters and sympathisers to actively participate, Mr Jibril noted that maintaining an accurate and robust membership database is crucial to the NDC’s organisational strength and future mobilisation efforts.
He added that the registration drive forms part of a broader strategy by the party to consolidate its internal structures and enhance grassroots involvement ahead of upcoming political engagements.
