Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has added his voice to growing calls for President John Dramani Mahama to be allowed to continue in office beyond his constitutionally mandated tenure.

Speaking during an interview on Okay FM on January 23, 2026, the outspoken cleric praised President Mahama’s leadership, describing his performance as exceptional since assuming office.

According to Rev. Owusu-Bempah, Ghana’s economy has shown significant improvement under Mahama’s administration, citing debt repayment efforts and economic stabilization as key achievements.

“President John Dramani Mahama deserves commendation because things have been going well since he became president. Ghanaians can see the good works he is doing,” he said.

He questioned why a president he described as “doing well” should be compelled to leave office after four years, arguing that Mahama should be allowed to continue unless he personally chooses to step aside.

“For me, I don’t want him to go because I don’t see anyone else who can manage the country better than him,” he added.
