The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has announced plans to establish 24-hour business registration centres and a digital helpline to support companies operating under the government’s 24-hour economy agenda.

Speaking at the Government Accountability Series in Accra on Wednesday, January 21, the Minister said the initiative will allow businesses to register at any time of the day and access assistance whenever needed, regardless of their working hours.

According to her, the move is aimed at improving ease of doing business in Ghana as commercial activities increasingly extend beyond the traditional 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. work schedule.

She explained that the digital helpline will operate around the clock to provide guidance, respond to complaints and help resolve challenges faced by businesses promptly.

“We are also establishing 24/7 business registration centres and a digital helpline. Even as the 24-hour economy gathers steam, we want to ensure that businesses can register at any time and receive support whenever they need it,” she stated.

The Minister noted that the initiative forms part of government efforts to modernise public service delivery and attract both local and foreign investment.
