The Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled a rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election for Tuesday, 30th December 2025, following a directive from the Tamale High Court.

The court, on Monday, 24th November 2025, ordered that a fresh election be conducted within thirty days, citing irregularities that warranted a rerun. In compliance with the ruling, the EC has moved swiftly to set a date that aligns with the legal timeline.

Further reinforcing the need for a rerun, the Commission said it received formal notification from the Clerk to Parliament on Monday, 8th December 2025, confirming that the Kpandai parliamentary seat had officially become vacant.

The upcoming poll will feature only the three candidates who participated in the 2024 parliamentary election in the constituency, as stipulated in the court’s directive.

Announcing the development, Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at the EC, urged the public and all stakeholders to take note of the new date and prepare accordingly.

The Commission reiterated its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible, and peaceful election, assuring voters that all necessary arrangements would be made to uphold the integrity of the process.
