The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has issued a public notice regarding the ongoing INTERPOL Red Notice proceedings involving Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta.

According to the statement, the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files notified Ghanaian authorities in October 2025 that Mr. Ofori-Atta had applied for the removal of his name from INTERPOL’s Red Notice. Ghana’s response to the application was submitted on 22 October 2025.

The notice further states that by 7 November 2025, the Commission received additional arguments from Mr. Ofori-Atta in an addendum and requested Ghanaian authorities to respond by 21 November 2025.

“The proceedings are still pending, and the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files is still studying the case,” the notice clarified. It added that during this period, the Applicant’s name, image, and details are often redacted from public view until a final determination is made.

The OSP urged the public to disregard all publications to the contrary, describing such reports as “borne of mischief and misinformation.”
