President John Dramani Mahama today held fruitful discussions with His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, reaffirming the strong and enduring relationship between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

The high-level meeting underscored the longstanding diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the two nations, with both leaders emphasizing the importance of deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, and sustainable development.

President Mahama highlighted Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new opportunities for partnership, particularly in the face of evolving global challenges. King Charles III, in turn, expressed appreciation for Ghana’s role within the Commonwealth and its continued contributions to international peace and development.

Accompanying President Mahama to the meeting were the Minister for Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson; the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa; and Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Sabah Zita Benson.

The engagement marks a significant step in reinforcing Ghana-UK relations and signals renewed commitment to collaboration at the highest levels.
