Ghanaian highlife musician Obiba Sly Collins has earned praise from a section of music stakeholders following the release of his latest inspirational song titled “Let’s Come Together,” a powerful tune aimed at promoting peace, unity, tolerance, and togetherness among Africans.

The song, which carries a strong message of African solidarity, is already gaining attention among music lovers and industry players who believe the veteran musician has once again used his craft to inspire positive change across the continent.

Speaking about the vision behind the song, Obiba Sly Collins urged Africans to support the ongoing efforts by African leaders, including John Dramani Mahama, towards promoting unity and development across the continent.

“As His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the President of the Republic of Ghana, and his colleague presidents across Africa continue fighting for the unity of Africa, we should all support them for the betterment of the continent. We shouldn’t discriminate against ourselves, and all negative political propaganda should be put aside so Africa can grow,” Obiba Sly Collins stated.

According to stakeholders who spoke in separate interviews with Level 7, the song is expected to make a meaningful impact on listeners due to its patriotic and motivational message. They also commended the musician for choosing music as a platform to preach reconciliation, forgiveness, peace, and unity among Africans.

The song combines a rich traditional Adowa highlife rhythm with quality percussion arrangements, creating a melodious and easy-to-sing tune that resonates deeply with listeners. Music enthusiasts who have already listened to the song have described it as one of Obiba Sly Collins’ finest productions in recent years.

Management of the highlife musician disclosed that the song is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms, adding that the artiste is fully prepared to dominate the music scene once again this year with more releases.

Fans across Africa have also embraced the song’s message, with many sharing videos of themselves singing and performing “Let’s Come Together” on social media platforms. Industry observers say the song has successfully transcended language and cultural barriers, touching the hearts of many music lovers across the continent.

With over four decades in the Ghanaian music industry, Obiba Sly Collins remains one of the respected highlife musicians committed to preserving and promoting authentic Ghanaian highlife music. Known for a number of popular songs over the years, the musician is determined to continue releasing songs that will strengthen his legacy in the industry.

“Why Africa? Let’s Come Together,” the song passionately declares, reinforcing the need for Africans to unite for a better future.
