The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has revealed that a Ghanaian national convicted of credit card fraud was taken into custody after reporting to its Columbus, Ohio, office to seek immigration benefits.

According to a post by the agency on Facebook, the individual attempted to conceal his criminal history, but officers uncovered the truth during the process. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was subsequently notified and arrived to arrest the suspect.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by U.S. authorities to enforce immigration laws and identify individuals who provide false information during immigration proceedings.
