President John Dramani Mahama has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the trust, patience and partnership shown to his administration one year after his return to office.

Speaking at an interfaith thanksgiving service held at the Presidency on Wednesday, January 7, the President said the support of citizens had been crucial as his government confronted difficult economic and social challenges.

“I want to thank you for one year of trust. I want to thank you for one year of partnership. I wish to thank you for one year of shared sacrifice and patience,” President Mahama said.

Reflecting on the past year, he noted that his administration was given a clear mandate to restore hope, stabilise the economy and reset Ghana’s development path. He acknowledged that the journey had not been easy but said the collective resilience of the people had helped keep the nation on course.

President Mahama also stressed that despite global uncertainties and domestic pressures, Ghana’s democracy had remained strong. He praised citizens for their endurance and reaffirmed his belief in the country’s ability to overcome challenges through unity and shared purpose.
