Ghana’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Kojo Choi, has spotlighted Ghana’s rising global influence during a keynote appearance at the Future Economic Forum in Seoul. In a passionate message shared on Facebook, the ambassador detailed his pride in introducing both President John Mahama and the nation of Ghana to world leaders and innovators gathered at the event.

Ambassador Choi described the moment as symbolic of Ghana’s renewed drive toward progress and global relevance. Recalling a gesture made by the President, he noted a striking contrast between past and present:

“In 2013, when he first answered the call of the people, he wore that iconic tie,” Choi wrote. “In 2025, he boldly took it off and threw the tie aside — a gesture that speaks louder than any speech, showing his readiness to work.”

Choi emphasized that Ghana is stepping into a new era of innovation, confidence, and international engagement. “The world must pay close attention to Ghana. We are no longer a tiny dot on the global map. We are the center of the world providing innovation and hope to the world,” he said.

Speaking from Seoul, the ambassador affirmed his pride in Ghana’s leadership and the nation’s accelerating global presence. “To our President. To our people. To our future. I am proud. We are proud. GHANA TO THE WORLD!”
