Prophet Bernard Adzraku: God Reveals John Mahama Will Retain IGP Christian Tetteh Yohuno After Retirement Date

A spiritual declaration by Prophet Bernard Adzraku of ECG The Jesus Nation Church is stirring fresh conversation around the future of Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno, who is scheduled for mandatory retirement at the end of 2025.

During a prayer retreat atop a mountain in the Volta Region—where the pastor and his congregation prayed for the nation’s peace and security—Prophet Adzraku announced that he had witnessed a divine revelation concerning the police chief’s tenure.

In his message, the prophet said he saw President John Dramani Mahama granting an extension to IGP Yohuno, whose time in office appears limited due to civil service age requirements. He stressed that the vision came as they prayed specifically about national security matters.

“God revealed that the IGP’s presence is still needed for the nation,” the prophet told his followers, adding that the continuation of Yohuno’s service was vital to the president’s security agenda.

He further suggested that the extension was already determined in the spiritual realm, describing it as an act of divine favor rather than a political decision.

Members at the retreat reportedly questioned how such a prophecy could align with the mandatory retirement rules, but Prophet Adzraku maintained confidence in the revelation, saying it appeared “very clear” during prayer.

With Yohuno’s retirement date drawing nearer and succession conversations growing louder, the prophecy adds a new layer to public discourse about leadership continuity within the Ghana Police Service.
