Veteran musician *Sly Collins* has expressed his full support for calls by the Bloggers Association to end *hate speech*, while urging Africans to embrace peace, unity and ideas aimed at promoting growth and development.
Collins said there is a need for people to reject hate speech and divisive rhetoric and instead promote messages that can foster peaceful coexistence across Africa.
In a message titled *“Blessed Africa,”* the veteran musician described the continent as blessed and called on Africans to protect its peace while working together for its development.
> “Africa is blessed by the special grace of the Most High God. Africa is the best place for us all. Why the blindfolding? Live and let us live. Stop destroying Africa, because it is the land of peace,” Collins wrote.
He also appealed to African leaders to come together with genuine intentions and focus on initiatives that can contribute to the continent’s growth.
“Enough is enough,” Collins stated, while expressing his support for what he described as *President John Dramani Mahama’s ideology for the growth of Africa*.
The musician further called for peace in Ghana, Africa and the wider world, stressing the importance of unity among the people.
*“Africa + Peace, Ghana + Peace & The World + Peace. Asomdwe Nkoaa… Peace & Unity. We need my people,”* he wrote.
Collins’ message adds his voice to calls for responsible communication and an end to hate speech, with the musician emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence and unity.
He also encouraged the public to enjoy the patriotic lyrics of *Obiba*, linking music and patriotism to his broader message of peace, unity and national development.
For Collins, the path to a peaceful and prosperous Africa requires people to reject hate speech, embrace unity and support ideas that, in his view, can contribute to the growth and development of the continent.
