President John Dramani Mahama has donated essential medical and relief items to the 37 Military Hospital and the Mamobi Polyclinic in Accra as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and support communities affected by recent flooding.

During a presentation at the 37 Military Hospital, President Mahama acknowledged the institution’s vital role as Ghana’s national emergency and trauma centre. He commended the hospital’s management, doctors, nurses, and staff for their dedication and professionalism in delivering quality healthcare to Ghanaians.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the country’s healthcare system by supporting key medical institutions with the resources needed to improve service delivery.

In a separate donation, President Mahama presented relief items to the Mamobi Polyclinic following the devastating floods of June 29, which affected parts of the Greater Accra Region and other coastal communities.

He noted that the floods claimed lives, destroyed property, and displaced thousands of residents. According to the President, the donation forms part of the government’s broader response to assist affected institutions and communities while complementing ongoing relief efforts by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and other stakeholders.

President Mahama reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting victims of the disaster and ensuring that healthcare facilities remain equipped to provide essential services during emergencies.

The donations underscore the government’s continued efforts to strengthen public healthcare institutions while providing relief to communities impacted by natural disasters.
