Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has responded to social media speculation about alleged fraud by urging young Ghanaians to steer clear of illegal activities.

In a Facebook post, the artist, famous for hits like “Kakai,” reminded ghetto youth of the importance of making money through lawful means. “If you make money legally like Shatta Wale, don’t fear to show others the way. But if not legally and it’s illegal, be careful. Ghetto youth, if you play, they will wipe you out. Ade tell you!! #GODISHERE🩸,” he cautioned.

The warning comes after several high-profile arrests, including that of Kofi Boat, by the FBI and EOCO for online fraud and romance scams. Shatta Wale has denied any involvement, stressing that his financial success is a result of his music career.

The artist was recently granted GH₵10 million bail with two sureties after being detained in connection with a yellow Lamborghini Urus. EOCO investigations, accompanied by his lawyer Cephas Biyuo, focused on tax matters concerning the luxury vehicle and the operations of his company. Shatta Wale has criticized attempts to tarnish his reputation, attributing them to jealousy rather than fact.
