Officials of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on Thursday, December 4, 2025, escorted private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu from the institution’s premises to inspect a landed property he presented as surety to satisfy his bail conditions.

According to sources, OSP officers accompanied him to verify the asset as part of standard procedures required before the bail can be fully executed.

Kpebu, who had gone to the OSP to assist in investigations into corruption allegations he had made against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, was detained on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, after a confrontation with officers at the entrance to the OSP headquarters.

He was taken into custody before investigators could begin questioning.

Mr. Kpebu was later released.

The verification exercise is part of the OSP’s internal protocols to authenticate information provided by individuals under investigation before their bail is finalised.
