President John Dramani Mahama has hosted the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for high-level bilateral talks aimed at strengthening cooperation between Ghana and Germany.
The meeting, held in Accra, focused on expanding partnerships in key sectors including renewable energy, green industrialisation, digital transformation, and skills development.
Speaking at a joint press conference, President Mahama highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to sustainable development and inclusive economic growth.
“We have identified specific opportunities for stronger collaboration in renewable energy, green industrialisation, digital transformation and skills development. These sectors are crucial to Ghana’s future and align with global sustainability objectives,” President Mahama stated.
The discussions also touched on Germany’s continued support for Ghana’s economic and technological advancement, particularly in areas that promote clean energy and job creation for the youth.
President Steinmeier commended Ghana’s leadership in democratic governance and expressed Germany’s readiness to deepen its engagement through mutually beneficial projects and strategic partnerships.
The visit marks a renewed chapter in Ghana-Germany relations, reinforcing both nations’ shared vision for a sustainable and prosperous future.
