Parliament seeks public contribution towards enhancement of Right to Information Bill

The Parliamentary select committee on Constitution, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs is inviting memoranda and contributions to the Right to Information Bill.

A press statement signed and copied to by Acting Director of Public Affairs Ms Kate Addo said memoranda should reach Parliament not later than Friday 13th April, 2018.

The Bill seeks to give rights and access to official information held by public institutions and private entities which perform public functions with public funds.

There have been agitations and huge public debates in by Ghanaian Civil Society Organizations, journalists and some individuals in favor of the passage of the Rights to Information Bill.
